Sales Executive, Active in Village Players Theater

Donald G. Fox, 38, of 2325 Meadowwood Dr., a former Toledo industrial sales executive, died of cancer Wednesday at his home after a long illness.

A lifelong resident of Toledo, Mr. Fox had been sales and office manager at the Midwest Fluid Power Co. for two years, leaving there in September 1981, because of illness. The firm services and distributes hydraulic equipment.

Before becoming associated with Midwest Fluid, he had been in charge of interior sales at the Toledo DoAll Co. and was a sales expediter at the Allied Chemical Corp. He also had been an administrative assistant to the vice president of the DeVilbiss Co. and a sales representative for the Questor Corp.

A graduate of Clay High School and The University of Toledo, where he received a degree in education in 1966, Mr. Fox had taught English for a brief period at Penta County Joint Vocational High School before becoming engaged in industrial sales.

He was a member of the Village Players Theater board of directors and was the group’s building manager and lighting director. He also was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy; daughter, Ellen; son, Ryan; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Fox, and brothers, James and Richard.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Ansberg-West Mortuary, where the body will be after 7 tonight.

The family requests that any tributes be in the form of contributions to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, the church or the Ronald McDonald House.
