Carol A. Orth, 60 of Toledo, died unexpectedly Friday, November 5. 2004 Born August 22. 1944, in Curtice. OH. she was the daughter of Clarence and Viola (Steadman) Sayen. Carol was a retail manager for K-Mart. Woolco. Lanes. Peoples, and Rite-Aide Drug Stores for 25 years; retiring in 1989. She opened her home to foreign exchange students and was a foster parent for 15 years, caring for 43 teens over three generations. Carol was active in "MOPS" (Mothers of Pre-schoolers) and the organizer of women's retreats at Heritage Christian Church.

Preceded in death by her parents. Carol is survived by Roger, her loving husband of 41 years, who she married August 24. 1963; children. Randy R. (Victoria) of Colorado. Shelly (Shane) Richey of South Carolina. Rodney (Chelly) of Oregon. Ron and Randy Orth. both of Toledo, OH; siblings. Shirley (Mike) Doroda, Dorothy Kelly. Thomas and Robert (Yvonne) Sayen, and 5 grandchildren.

Friends may call Friday from noon until 9 p.m. at Hoeflinger Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave. where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St Ignatius Cemetery.
