Elizabeth A. Schmidlin, 77, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends, Saturday, April 9, 2022. Elizabeth was born May 2, 1944, in Houston, Texas to Joseph and Gertrude (Oster) Toth. She was a graduate of Clay High School, Class of 1962, and worked for the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation as an auditor & examiner for 27 years, retiring in 2001. Elizabeth was a longtime member of Calvin United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School, helped with Vacation Bible School, and volunteered with the Lorantffy Ladies Noodle Makers. She was proud of her Hungarian heritage and was a member of the Hungarian Club of Toledo and the Hungarian Embroidery Club.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Jill Spencer, and Mark Schmidlin; grandchildren, Emily, Roman, and Joseph; brother, Daniel (Becky) Toth; dear friend, Diane Schmidt; along with many loving family members. Preceded in death by her parents; and step-father, Paul Mowery.

The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services at 10:30 am Friday, April 15, 2022, at Calvin United Church of Christ, 1932 Bakewell Street, Toledo, where the family will greet friends beginning at 9:30 am.
